The recently renovated Audubon Hotel and Event Venue offers a historic, stylish, setting for weddings in Mayville, Wisconsin. Since being established in 1896, this boutique hotel has helped countless people celebrate their milestones. It features a gorgeous staircase and amazing wooden carvings and details throughout, adding a one-of-a-kind touch to the elegant decor.

Facilities and Capacity

Couples are invited to rent out the entire hotel for their wedding here, giving them the opportunity to host a grand gathering with all of their loved ones. Across its four floors, the hotel contains three lobbies, an art gallery, a bar, an event space, a bridal pamper suite to use the day of, and a honeymoon suite, among other facilities. Two of the three lobby areas feature an art gallery, perfect for your cocktail reception in between the ceremony and dinner. There are also 19 rooms for overnight accommodations. Both the ceremony and reception can be held in the hotel's stylish indoor event hall, which can seat up to 130 guests. Parking is available onsite and offsite. The hotel is conveniently located for guests visiting from out of town. Milwaukee and Madison Airport is just a short drive away, while the hotel sits on the town's main street. The Mayville Millpond, Horicon Marsh, and other landmarks make for scenic backdrops to events held here.

The event space can be transformed with multiple colors of linens and decor to choose from. Allow your guests to sip on cocktails and view the art gallery in the lobby areas as you take pictures with your bridal party. The staff here is happy to take care of everything. Couples can gain access to their event space on the night before their wedding so they can decorate it in line with their vision. Various backdrops are provided for unforgettable wedding photography, including the grand staircase in the lobby, the hotel's Victorian architecture, stained glass in multiple areas, and more. In addition, to-be-weds can avail of vintage furniture for a whimsical addition to their photos.

History

This hotel was originally known as The Beaumont and was designed by Henry Messmer & Son. It was built for Jacob and Anna Mueller, with Jacob being known for publishing the Dodge County Pioneer. In 1988, the hotel was added to the National Register for Historic Places. Todd Strauss and Amy Hopfinger purchased the property in late 2020 and did a full renovation to the entire interior, including all of the guest rooms to bring you a historic but modern boutique experience that will be the perfect backdrop for any wedding.
